Why do I find video games enjoyable
Video games are fun no doubt in my perspective. It keeps my life interesting and less monotonous. I have online friends across the world that I play regularly with.
Playing games online always gives me opportunities to do new things like streaming, or meeting new people.
Growing up with video games kept me interested in the possibilities of what you can do in a virtual space. For the most part, you’re free to do whatever you set your mind to in this virtual world. This doesn’t only go for video games, but it’s the main draw for many people.

The first game I ever played was called “Roblox”, an online platform that allows you and others to basically make their own games, or if you’re not super into that, you could just play the games that other people made.

Video games are a major source of entertainment for me, but it’s really grown beyond being just “entertainment” at this point. Without it, I would not have met my amazing community and my closest friends.
Valorant
You might have seen me play “Valorant” in a lot of my streams. It is a free-to-play first person shooter online game made by Riot Games. Two years ago, my friends introduced me to it, and I’ve been playing ever since.
I was surprised how there were so many modes like unrated, competitive, deathmatch, spike rush, escalation, and replication. The modes I play the most are unrated and competitive. I became addicted to competitive games because I always wanted to see just how good I could do against my peers. Competitive modes are mostly based on performance and how well I do my matches, so the ranking system in Valorant is a fairly decent metric to my overall game skill.

I enjoy playing the role of initiator characters which includes Sova, Skye, KAYO, Fade, and Breach. I play most of them, sans Skye and Breach. For Sova and Fade, I like being able to figure line ups for scanner abilities and the shock darts are satisfying once you figure them out. As for line ups, I usually learned them through tik tok or a YouTuber named AverageJonas.
Improving at Valorant, climbing up the ranks, feeling rewarded if we win or just having fun with friends is what truly makes the game enjoyable to me.
You can never stop me from playing Valorant till the day I die. 😀
Overwatch 2
“Overwatch 2” another free to play fps online game developed by Blizzard Entertainment has been fun to play recently.
Overwatch 2, the sequel to Overwatch was released on just the 4th of October, and I’ve been a little obsessed lately. I had played the last entry, but for one reason or another I wasn’t as drawn in as I am to this game. There are over 30 characters to choose from, and I usually play in the support class. I have fun playing Moira, who has a great damage output, but sometimes it’s less stressful to just play Mercy. Her kit is far more team based than Moira and I feel it’s better to just focus on healing than also having to worry about my damage output.

I haven’t quite gotten to a level where I can play competitively, but for the new game they even reworked the ranking system. It used to be SR based, with a hard skill rating assigned to you, but now they’ve adopted a system much more similar to Valorant, and I think that’s probably for the better.

I’d really like to get competitive in this game as well, so I can enjoy more matches with my friends!
Now your turn in the comments, would you rather play Valorant or Overwatch 2 more?
Have a meowingful day!
